Director of GM.Digital
Kathryn Abel
Kathryn is a Professor of Psychological Medicine and Director and Founder of the Centre for Women’s Health (CWMH) at the University of Manchester. She is also an Honorary Consultant Psychiatrist at GMMH. Kathryn has had over 150 publications and edited several books in this area, with international collaborations in Scandinavia, Australia and America

Co-Director of GM.Digital
Charlotte Stockton-Powdrell
Charlie leads the Digital Health Software team in the Division of Informatics, Imaging & Data Science at the University of Manchester. She oversees a number of digital health projects covering mental health, cancer screening and other long-term health conditions. She has worked in health research for over 15 years in a variety of roles and disease areas, with a particular interest in mental health.​

Pauline Whelan
Pauline is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at CareLoop Health. Her background is in digital health, with a focus on building software to improve health and well-being. You can find out more about her research here.

GM.Digital Manager
Heidi Tranter
Heidi oversees and works on projects and the day-to-day running of the unit. She has previously worked within CAMHS, primary care networks and forensic services, providing therapeutic support to both children and young people and adults, and has been involved in research looking at referrals into CAMHS with GM.Digital. She is interested in preventative approaches to mental health.​

Marta Chmielowska
Marta brings together interdisciplinary expertise, strategic insight, and a strong commitment to user-centred design to understand how digital health products can be effectively implemented and sustained within NHS services. Marta chairs the Digital Health Reading and Research Group.

Research Associate at GM.Digital
Thomas Price
Tom began in community and in-patient clinical services before working as an Assistant Psychologist in child and adult services. He is passionate about supporting people with Mental Health difficulties and improving care. Tom supports projects and the day-to-day tasks within the unit.

Mia Vines Booth
With a background in digital media, community journalism, and academic research, Mia oversees GM.Digital's communication and engagement across press, social media, external stakeholders and community outreach.

Digital Navigator
Fran Quigley
Fran joins GM.Digital as a Digital Navigator, part of the Mental Health Goals Programme. Fran recently graduated with a MSc in Psychology from the University of Liverpool and previously worked at digital mental health company CareLoop Health. Fran will be key in the implementation of digital mental health technologies across NHS trusts nationwide, ensuring equal access for people living with severe mental illness.

Digital Navigator
Ayla Ozkan
I've worked in the NHS for many years, previously as a Digital Transformation Lead for a large maternity service, rolling out an end-to-end electronic patient record system and embedding an interactive patient health app. I have a background in clinical education and quality improvement as well as many years working as a frontline clinician, specialising in work with vulnerable service users. I have a particular interest in digital innovations and inclusion work, ensuring our staff and service users have the tools and support needed to be brought along through digital change and development.
