Volunteer Digital Navigators

The Volunteer Digital Navigators are a group that work alongside our team with an interest in technology.

Digital Navigators are volunteers at GMMH who support the use of digital technology to improve mental health. They help both clinicians and patients find and use helpful apps, as well as understand the data generated by them. Digital Navigators may also evaluate and review apps, assist with research projects, and contribute to publications about their work.

Our work with the Recovery Academy

Founded in 2013, the Recovery Academy, which is part of Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust (GMMH), is recognised locally and nationally as a flagship Recovery College for mental health support. They are passionate about empowering people through creating an inclusive educational space where individuals, families, carers, and professionals can access tools and knowledge to support mental health, wellbeing, and recovery.

GM.Digital's Volunteer Digital Navigators support the uptake and use of technology within the Trust. They can support people to access courses offered by the Recovery Academy using the online booking system and can support people to use the website.
